
Nakim Moquin Rochefort
Nakim Moquin Rochefort is Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance at the Biologics Manufacturing Centre (BMC) Inc.. With over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, he has developed strong expertise in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, sterile operations, and microbiological control.
Throughout his career, Nakim has built extensive experience in sterile manufacturing operations within a contract manufacturing organization (CMO) environment. He has worked for many years in highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing settings, covering the full aseptic manufacturing lifecycle, the supervision of multidisciplinary teams, and the management of critical activities related to quality and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This experience has provided him with a deep understanding of operational challenges, regulatory requirements, and the complexities of large-scale sterile operations.
In 2021, he joined the BMC, where he played a key role in the startup of the facility’s operations, particularly through the implementation of quality systems and contribution to the structuring of the quality assurance team. His involvement helped establish a solid foundation and a robust quality framework to support the launch of commercial-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing activities.
Nakim holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences (Microbiology and Immunology) from Université de Montréal and a Project Management Certificate from HEC Montréal. He is also a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, supporting his strong focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
