
Elizabeth Douville
Elizabeth Douville is a dynamic and passionate business leader and venture capitalist in the life sciences sector. She is currently the President and CEO at IRICoR, a Center of Excellence for Commercialization and Research in Drug Discovery based at IRIC/University of Montreal. Prior to this role, Elizabeth was the Founder and Managing Partner of AmorChem, a leading early-stage venture capital fund focusing on academic innovation and translating it into early-stage biotech companies. She played an instrumental role in developing AmorChem’s innovative early-stage investment model, raising $90M over two funds, along with establishing and overseeing the funds’ operations and governance model. Elizabeth sourced, led, and oversaw investments in a dozen promising university technologies, successfully creating several spin-off companies that have raised capital or partnered with pharmaceutical companies.
Elizabeth holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London, UK.
Elizabeth Douville has served on the boards of several companies and nonprofit organizations. Elizabeth was elected to the Biologics Manufacturing Centre Board of Directors in December 2023
